In pairs, the person on the right stepo-hops in and slightly to the left twice, then back and slightly to the left twice. As he comes back, the person tot he left should begin doing likewise (person on left goes in on the same two steps on which his partner goes back). The effect of repeating this is that the pair "orbits" each other and may work their way slowly around the circle to the left. Left to right motion may need to be slightly adjusted so as to not trample your partner (a most undesirable dance move). The "orbit" should be done a total of seven times.
If this is performed in a circle of only four people, the effect is that the dancers on opposite sides of the circle trade spaces, barely missing each other in the middle and traversing about 165 degrees of the circle. As above they step-hop in for two steps, and as they step-hop out for two the other pair step-hops in for two. As soon as a pair reaces the outside of the circle, they immediately start going in again. This produces a very impressive result. This can also be modified for six or eight people by adding pauses between passes (once again so as to not trample your brethren).
